Nikki Jackson: Having graduated with a string of qualifications in beauty therapy, Nikki worked in salons in her home town in Hertfordshire before deciding to 'go it alone' in the early 1980's. Initially she began treating people in their own homes and was also contracted by hospitals, offering beauty therapy to those who were unable to travel. She wanted to help clients to maintain personal wellbeing and feel special, she found this work enormously rewarding.
In 1984 Nikki set up her own small salon on the High Street in Hitchin and the business steadily grew, mainly through the loyalty of a satisfied client list, who saw the salon develop and expand until she employed a staff team of 4. When she sold the business 21 years later it was to one of those dedicated members of staff, who still owns and runs it.
In 2006 the Jacksons moved to the coastal village of Walberswick, where Nikki's parents had lived, and settled in her family's holiday home. The village attracts holiday makers all year round, as well as artists and celebrities - all of whom need a bit of sprucing up now and then. The treatment room, designed by Nikki and built by her carpenter and craftsman husband, and occupies a quiet part of the family home.
The Walberswick Beauty Spot offers treatments in a calm and private enviroment. There are unparalleled views of the harbour from the treatment room and it is a haven of serenity by the sea.
The salon is situated by the habour, with stunning views and private parking. Access to the beach is directly opposite and there are walks in every direction. The village offers 2 pubs, a village store, a delicatessen in the summer and a number of interesting shops on the village green.
